Issue

There were a number of unconnected networks within RADA which were becoming increasingly difficult to maintain and administer. In addition the file server on the main network was reaching capacity and starting to cause operational problems. 

Project

To review and comment on the current hardware and communications infrastructure. 

Outcome

A summary review was documented and subsequently discussed with senior management and the way forward determined. The report produced included:

  • Status of the current systems

  • Weaknesses of the current systems

  • A review of the upgrade proposal received from a local supplier

  • Observations on the use of IT within RADA, highlighting areas for improvement.
