The UK subsidiary of the Harting Group. Haarting manufacture and distribute a range of industrial connectors to the electronics industry.

Scope of requirements

CRM including estimating and quotations, light manufacturing, logistics, EDI, finance and Group reporting.


Legacy hardware - software selected had to run on existing hardware infrastructure.

Reactive telesales - fast sales desk quotations and order taking environment.

Light manufacturing - introduction of more comprehensive manufacturing application software in order to handle increase in light manufacturing.

Purchasing - sophisticated purchasing requirements planning facilities required.

Business intelligence - comprehensive sales analysis by product, product group, customer, sales person, region, etc.



Following the documentation of detailed user requirements an ITT was produced and issued to a pre-qualified sector specific list of suppliers. Following evaluation of the responses and demonstrations of the shortlisted solutions, a packaged based ERP solution was selected and implemented.
