Since its foundation over 90 years ago, it has established and maintained a global reputation for innovation and quality design, supported by excellent customer service. The company manufacture small pumps for both domestic and industrial purposes.

IT systems strategy followed by definition of requirements and packaged software selection for an integrated ERP solution.

CRM, manufacturing, logistics, finance and management & financial reporting.

Issues

Old legacy systems - replacement of old legacy ERP software and inherent ways of working.

E-business services - need to explore the best ways of taking advantage of e-business opportunities.

Ad hoc PC databases - need for more comprehensive data integration and to eliminate "islands of information". 

Business process redesign - new ways of working required across logistics, manufacturing and reporting functions.

Internal IT support - need to establish internal IT support requirements.

Summary

A business orientated IT strategy was produced defining the key role IT would play in the future of the business. Detailed functional requirements were determined for a manufacturing focused replacement ERP system. ITT prepared and sent to qualified suppliers. Following evaluation of supplier responses and detailed structured demonstrations the Company selected a packaged based ERP solution.
